Adult Exercise Program

The Adult Exercise Program at Bonner General Health is a wellness program designed for anyone who may benefit from regular, supervised exercise in a safe environment.

Our goal is to help you improve your overall level of physical activity by increasing your strength, balance, flexibility and endurance.

Regular exercise can prevent physical decline as we age and can reverse common problems associated with aging. This program is ideal for those with:

  • Arthritis
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Osteoporosis
  • Other Physical Challenges and Health Concerns

The program begins with an assessment of your health needs by a registered nurse. An exercise regimen appropriate for your individual needs will be developed.

Each exercise class is supervised by staff who are specially trained in exercise management and heart and bone health. Your blood pressure and pulse will be monitored. Classes include a combination of weight-bearing aerobic exercise, strength training, balance exercises and stretching.

In addition, we offer education to enhance your understanding of other aspects of your particular medical condition, drawing on our professional staff of dieticians, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, and physicians as necessary.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Class Sessions and Fees

Class times:
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Classes are one hour long.

Fees:
Participants pay a one-time fee of $25 for an initial health assessment, each class after that is $6.
A physician’s order is not required to participate in this program.
We do recommend that you talk with your healthcare provider prior to beginning any exercise program.
