Bonner General Hospital Foundation was established in November 2007 as the fundraising and resource development organization for Bonner General Hospital.
Contributions to the Foundation help to fund state-of-the-art medical equipment, technology and community wellness programs that improve the health of all those in the hospital's care. Your support also allows for the expansion and enhancement of the hospital's facilities and helps to attract highly-qualified physicians, nurses and other medical personnel to deliver quality, compassionate care.

Ways to Give
Bonner General Hospital Foundation accepts contributions from individuals, corporations and other organizations that wish to support Bonner General Hospital. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and may be restricted by the donor for a specific purpose or given as an unrestricted donation to be used where the need is greatest. Gifts to Bonner General Hospital may be made in a variety of ways as explained below:
Gifts of Cash
Making a cash gift in the form of a check is an easy, immediate way to contribute to the work of the hospital. You may also make a cash contribution using your Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
Gifts In Memory or In Honor
A memorial gift is an opportunity to make a contribution in memory of a friend or loved one.
Making a gift in honor of someone is a nice way to celebrate a special occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary or wedding.
When you make a gift in memory or in honor of someone, we will send a personalized letter to the person being memorialized or honored, letting them know of your donation but not revealing the amount. We will also send you an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.
Champions of Care
If someone provided outstanding care or service to you while you were at Bonner General Hospital, you can honor them as a Champion of Care. Learn more.
Gifts of Stock
When you make a gift of stock that has appreciated in value, you are generally entitled to an income tax deduction for its fair market value at the time of the gift. You also avoid paying capital gains tax on the increased value of the stock.
Gifts in Your Will
Making a gift in your will is an easy way to leave a lasting legacy of support for the hospital. You may bequeath property or cash, or a percentage of your estate. You may also designate the purpose for which you would like your gift to be used. Learn more about making a will bequest.

Funded Projects
Cardiac Equipment
The Foundation kicked off 2010 by raising funds to purchase new AEDs for the public areas of the hospital and defibrillators featuring state-of-the-art technology.
Surgical Warming Cabinets
In 2009, the Foundation raised the funds to replace two warming cabinets in the hospital's surgical services department. Warming cabinets are machines used to heat the irrigation and intravenous fluids that are administered to a patient in the operating room, and to heat blankets that keep the patient warm while waiting for and during surgery, and in the recovery room. This equipment plays a critical role in patient safety during and after surgery because it decreases the risk of post-operative infections and other complications.
Emergency Department Lobby Renovation
In 2009, the Foundation partnered with Mountain West Bank to renovate the Emergency Department waiting area. Through the bank's "donate a dollar" fundraising campaign, Mountain West raised the funds to replace the furniture and install a flat screen television in the waiting area. In addition, the bank's employees donated volunteer hours to repaint the waiting area and the exterior ambulance bay, as well as to freshen the landscaping around the entrance.
Portable Ultrasound Unit
In 2008, just six months after its inception, the Foundation successfully raised the money to purchase a portable ultrasound unit. This equipment, which facilitates the rapid diagnosis of a wide range of medical conditions, was made possible through the generous support of our community.
