For the seventh consecutive year, Bonner General Health is operating a First Aid Station at Schweitzer Mountain Resort during ski season. Bonner General Health RNs provide prompt medical attention to those needing immediate care on the mountain.

Housed in the ski patrol room in the lower level of the Lakeview Lodge, the first aid station is staffed by BGH Registered Nurses Patrick Stanford, Molly Stanley, Lori Porter, and John Wilson, all of whom are certified in Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Ken Gramyk, MD, FACEP, is the Medical Director of the First Aid Station and Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s Ski Patrol doctor. Dr. Gramyk has been the resort’s Ski Patrol doctor for the last 20 years.

The team from BGH met with Rob Batchelder, Schweitzer Mountain Resort Operations Director; Arlene Cook, Patrol Director; Greg Gibson, Assistant Patrol Director; Angie Nylund, Patroller; David Ramsey, Bonner County EMS Captain and Schweitzer Fire Department; Spencer Newton, Fire Chief of Schweitzer Fire Department and Ambulance; and Veronica Mitchell-Jones from Life Flight Network to plan for the 2018/2019 season.
