Your Hospital Stay

Thank you for choosing Bonner General Health for your medical care. We are committed to ensuring your stay with us is a positive experience.

Below is some general information for patients staying at BGH.

What to Expect

Essential toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, lotion, and hospital gowns are provided to patients during their hospital stay. Patients may bring additional items if they choose. Because the hospital cannot be responsible for money or personal belongings, we recommend that you keep only a few dollars with you and leave credit cards, jewelry and other valuables home.

Telephones are located in each patient room. Local calls are free of charge. To make a local call, dial “9” and then the number. To make a long distance call, dial “9” + “0” + area code + the number. Long distance phone calls cannot be charged to your hospital bill. For additional phone information or assistance, please dial “0” to reach the hospital operator.

Your meals will be prepared according to your physician’s directions and will be served at 8:00 a.m., noon and 5:00 p.m. If you have any special nutritional requirements or questions, our registered dietitians are available to help you. Please ask for a dietician consult during patient registration.

Our Auxiliary volunteers will deliver the local newspaper to your room each weekday morning. Any mail or flowers that are sent to you at the hospital will be delivered to your room as soon as possible.

Bonner General Health is a tobacco-free campus, including electronic cigarettes, both inside our facilities and the grounds outside. Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy environment for everyone.

Items found at the hospital are kept at the information desk in the main lobby area. Dial “0” from your patient room or (208) 263-1441 from an outside line to contact the information desk.
